So I've already applied to UMich's school of engineering and been deferred.... Anyway, I'm not entirely certain I want to go into engineering. Much of the reason I applied for engineering was because I heard it was hard to transfer into it, but much easier to transfer into LSA. So my question is can you apply to more than one school within UMich? It's a little late in the game to apply to LSA, but I was just wondering.

No. You could only apply to two schools if one of them is fine arts because they’re looking for different things and you could go to both at the same time. hope that helps

First of all, the deadline is February 1, so you missed it. Secondly, you can only apply once in the same cycle, so applying to LSA now when you already applied to Engineering earlier this cycle would not have been possible. Once cannot change the content of his application once it is sent in, so you cannot change from Engineering to LSA now. Finally, one cannot apply to Engineering and LSA at the same time. Engineering and Ross (pre-admit) or LSA and Ross (pre-admit) or Engineering and Music or LSA and Music are all possible combinations…Engineering and LSA is not. But I would not worry too much about it as LSA is actually not much easier to get into. Generally speaking, successful applicants to LSA tend to have slightly lower Math credentials than successful applicants to the CoE, but then again, the acceptance rate into LSA is like 40%, compared to 55% for the CoE.
