Can you attend a good high school and get into MITES?

I'm a sophomore at St. John's Preparatory School in Danvers, MA, and I wasn't sure if this would affect my chances of being admitted into MITES. One thing I noticed is that they they look at how good (or, I guess, bad) your school is. Will going to what I'm sure most would consider at least a good prep school lower my chances of admission?

I'm Hispanic and my family makes less around about $40,000 a year, and when it comes to education in my family I'm privileged and am a first generation college student. The tuition is half the 40k, but I go on a full scholarship.

Although it’s preferred that you go to a not-so-good high school because it means you would likely have a lot more use of the MITES program, just because you attend a good high school does not mean that you absolutely will not be able to go. Despite its name, MITES is truly meant to expose engineering as a possible career choice to good/excellent students who have not had the chance to do so.

If you’re a very good student at your school, or even an exemplary one, you probably stand a good chance to attend MITES. Best of luck!
