Can you bring an xbox and playstation to college?

I want to bring my xbox and playstation 2 to college so i can play in my downtime. I dont do the online xbox stuff, so i just have to hook it up to a tv. Also, I have a TV in my bedroom that I could bring to college, but Im afraid it might be too big. Its average size, not a tiny one or a big one, but Im sharing a room with someone and i dont want to walk in with a big tv that we may not have room for.

Can you give me some advice?

Wait until you find out your roommate assignment. Ask him if it is okay to hog the room with your stuff. He might say sure.

As long as you let your roommate use your TV sometimes if he wants to, I bet he won’t care. The game systems take up comparatively much less room and can easily be put away when you’re not playing them to take up less space if it’s an issue.

lol, i love how you both assume im a guy. Im not.

Also, i’d be happy to let them use my stuff as long as they treated it well.

Find out how big your room is and what’s already in it. Then compare that to how big the stuff you’re bringing is. If your room has a big dresser with a huge bare top it, you can put your TV and game systems on that. See if it will fit before you just bring it along.

EDIT: YAY! Fellow female gamer! =D

Thats probably a good idea. I live 40 minutes from the college so it wouldnt be that hard to go back home and get it if my roomates thought it was okay.

Ouch, sorry, I was just going with the precedent set by the poster before me. I believe in the female gamer! My grandma is one.

Are you driving yourself or being dropped off? Because if it’s the latter, if you trust your family, they could always take it back with them if you take a look at it and go “I don’t think I have enough space.” I doubt that’ll be the case, however. I don’t know if I’m spoiled, but I’ve never seen a college dorm room where a TV wouldn’t fit.

i didnt even think about that hyperjulie, i’ll probably drive myself and my mom and dad will drive their car too (their gonna want to help me move in and send me off.) They could just take the stuff home if their wasnt room for it. thanks.

dude if u want bring it. Your roommate will probably play it just as much as you do. and if not then he will just have to get used to it.

agreed with that ^, theres always going to be room for a tv and xbox and all. trust me. you will make room for it. i have no tv right now and i want to stab myself in my apartment/dorm room. no tv=no hbo, no hbo=no entourage and hung. stab stab

didn’t read the thread before responding eh?

You will have room for it, so bring it.

If you’re roommate gets her panties in a bunch and doesn’t want you to hav e that stuff in the dorm, then just ignore her, as it won’t work out anyway, and you’re roommate has problems.

Also, check if you’re roommate has a better TV to bring.

Yeah go ahead and bring one. And if your roommate doesn’t like it, I’m pretty sure other people in your hall will be okay with it and you can just play in the common room with your dormmates. I brought a wii my freshman year and my roommate brought a TV so it was pretty chill.

You should be able to. I don’t see why you wouldn’t be able to.

You probably can - varies from college to college - but I’ve been advised not to, as those things can be very addictive.

do it! i love playing on the drums on rock band after a stressing week! the one thing is that, for example at uf, it’s really hard to update my ps3. i’m not sure how xbox 360s work but i’m kinda anal about my ps3 updates and i was heartbroken that i hadn’t been able to update it in more than 8 months! i have a mac and the only way to do it is to connect the ethernet to your laptop, a pc, then the pc to the wall jack and some complicated stuff that i didn’t really pay attention to because i couldn’t do it anyway! lol

point is… take it! i like blowing steam off with video games so i’m glad i took my ps3 ^_^and seriously, most roommates won’t complain about the bulkiness of a tv since they’ll probably enjoy having one! lol
