Do guys always bring an xbox to college?

I'm just wondering...how common is it for guys to have a ps3 or xbox 360 in their dorm room? If so, do they help get a good group of people at your college to play together online or offline?

I brought mine for the first quarter and barely touched it. Next quarter I just took it home. Unless you play alot of xbox, you wont really use it.

What about a tv?

The only people that have TVs in my dorm are people with singles. Otherwise, there isn’t any room. Ditto for xbox.

The guys with singles are always bringing girls over for sex, so I don’t think there’s much gaming going on there either.

My son uses his X-Box and TV for gaming breaks with kids on the floor and movie nights for pals in the dorm. It isn’t used all the time, but occasionally, and very much enjoyed.

I think it all depends on the people you hang out with and whatnot.

And there’s always enough room for a TV. I had a 28" CRT in the dorm room I shared with me friend. It was so small that if we both leaned back in our desk chairs at the same time we’d hit heads.

I brought a 360 and a TV, my suitemates next to us also had a 360, and so did two other double in my hall. So, 4 out of 6 rooms in my hall.

It really depends on how often people play…and its not just guys that bring game consoles, I know a few girls that do too.

I’m going to college next fall and I heard that video games are a good icebreaker to get to know the people in your hall/building. Open your doors and let people come in and play. That’s what I heard… >_>

i don’t plan on bringing any gaming systems or a tv. i’m going to college next fall. honestly, i don’t think i’ll be watching a lot of tv or playing video games at all in college. i don’t know. maybe if the friends that i’ll hopefully make play or watch a lot i’d tag along unwillingly

but i do plan on getting a pet =) and i’m going to rent a minifridge, and i don’t need a microwave

girls playing xbox?..Im utterly surprised

^
dude, I’m a freakin’ beast at gears of war and black ops… My mom took my 360 when I started procrastinating more than usual and it now doubles as her DVD player/what she watched netflix on. The most depressing thing ever watching Sweet Home Alabama on an xbox.

I know some girls that play xbox. The trick is finding an attractive girl that plays xbox. That my friend is a winner

The trick to getting girls to play shooter games is to start out with causal/mini games. I got 3 or 4 of my girl-friends to play Halo Reach by starting out with fun, custom forge games. I got 1 girl to play CoD.

lol, it’s still hard to get girls to play shooters voluntarily. xD

I bought a 46" plasma and brought my Xbox 360 and Wii over when I first moved into my dorm room. Fun times. I didn’t use them much though other than perhaps the TV. I don’t have it anymore since I sold it for a larger one in my apartment, which I sold again since I’m moving again.

I have one along with a 23 inch hd lcd and a 360. My time playing varies with my schedule and games out. End of last semester I played everyday when Reach, Brotherhood and COD Black Ops came out (I’ll also admit to a 3 month gametime of WOW when Cata come out but that was mostly during winter break / end of finals). This semester I had less time, and didn’t even turn it on until MvC3 and Portal 2 came out.

I generally use the summer to finish up campaigns and such (this summer I’ll be finishing Black Ops campaign, Portal 2 campaign, Mass Effect 2 campaign, Twilight Princess (ugh must finish some time, have had it for 4 years), and play online with my friends (usually COD).

I didn’t take any game systems to college this past year, but there was a game room on campus with a Wii, 360, and a PS3 so I was covered. I think its more like theres always some place where you can go to play some games.
