Can you chance me for cornell engineering??

My sat score is 700 for reading and writing, 800 for math
sat subject math 2 800 / physics 800 / chemistry 800
ap cal bc 5 / chem 5 / physics 1 4 / physics c mechanics 5 / physics 2 5 / bio 3 / stat 5 / macro and microecon 5

my gpa is 3.99 unweighted, 4.32 weighted (10th - 11th - 4.78)
I guess the problem with my transcript is that I took 6 ap courses in 10th and 11th, but didn’t take any during 12th year.

I am not sure if I should apply for engineering or arts and sciences…
I know my stats are low for engineering, but I really want to apply for engineering!
Also, I didn’t really take APs that have to do with Arts, but took only Sciences so I am not sure if admission officers will think I am fit for college of arts and sciences!

if anyone helps me with this i’ll really appreciate it!

I don’t see any of your stats as being low for engineering at all – go for it!

Make sure you highlight things about you that will add diversity to Cornell Engineering. I mean experiential diversity. Admissions will see a ton of applicants who are very similar – nearly perfect SATs, lots of APs, started their own businesses, created smartphone aps, etc. I’m not belittling those types of accomplishments, but as an engineering student and as an engineer you will be working with a team and a team of people with different experiences and viewpoints is going to be better able to see the spectrum of issues involved in a problem and to engineer elegant and cost effective solutions, as opposed to a team of people that have similar experiences and a narrow range of viewpoints.

Also, make clear “why Cornell.” You could get into a lot of engineering schools, but what is it about Cornell that is unique that you are excited about or looking forward to?

TLDR: How are you different from the other applicants? How is Cornell Engineering different from other schools for your needs and desires?

Sorry I didn’t reply to you earlier! Thank you for your warm and supportive words  I really gained strength from them! But I ended up applying to College of Arts and Sciences because my counselor told me that chance of getting accepted to CAS is higher than that to CE. He also told me that once I get into Cornell there is still chance of transferring internally to CE, so I decided to apply to CAS! Anyway, thank you so much for your advice on applications! It really helped me when i was writing WHY CORNELL essay!
