My son recieved his room assignment for Mark's tower. Not his first choice but I think it is a good one for a freshman comming from a small town.
My question is about his roommate. He was under the impression they would be able to exchange emails to discuss who would bring what. His room mate is described with letters and numbers not a name. Not sure if the roommate choice was to ID himself that way or that is they way things are done. The roomates likes and dislikes were posted and they seem like a good fit for each other. But.... how can they get in touch?

the same thing happened for my roommate. Right next to the place where it has the person’s screen name there should be a link that says send a message I did that and told the person my name and where i lived so that they could friend me on facebook and that’s how we got in touch

My D found her roommate on facebook and “friended” her. I’ve seen others post the cryptic names of roommates on FB (on the Freshman class of 2016 page) and ask for that person to identify themselves.

You can contact the person through the housing website in order further exchange contact information.

My daughter has messaged her assigned roommate on the USC housing website. Where does she check to see if her roommate has responded?

I am guessing she should send her email address or phone number for the roomate to respond to her.
