Hello!
I’m a Trustee Scholar person at USC and I was wondering if you can still do the Global Leadership Program (/trip to china/) if you are in the combined CS/BUAD major? I was originally admitted to MBUS but I am planning on transferring into the Viterbi/Marshall CS/BUAD program. If it makes a difference, I have maxed out AP credit (32 Units) and also will have waived all the GEs with (***) next to them below (the new GE program has changed this year apparently).
GE-A The Arts (1 course)
GE-B Humanistic Inquiry (2 courses)
GE-C Social Analysis (2 courses)
**GE-D Life Sciences (1 course)
*GE-E Physical Sciences (1 course)
*GE-F Quantitative Reasoning (1 course)
GE-G Citizenship in a Global Era (1 course)
**GE-H Traditions and Historical Foundations (1 course)
So, has anyone been through this before? Do I still get to go to China?
Also, I know that Trustee Scholars essentially get to study abroad free for (8?) units and was wondering if I would be able to fit in a Semester abroad (or summer I suppose) with this major, since it seems very course-intensive. I don’t even see any electives or empty class spaced associated with the program like I do with all of Marshall’s other programs…
Also would appreciate any incite at all into the major and the difficulties (or rewards) associated with the CS/BUAD major.
