Can you do the SAT II before the SAT

Not familiar with US system but can this be done, due to preparation and timing.

Thanks.

yes it can be done, you dont have to take the SAT to take the subject tests

Thank you, can I just ask in your opinion; how much time would be sufficient enough to revise/practice for the SAT and the subject tests. Thanks.

Absolutely! In fact I would encourage it. It’s best to take the SAT subject test right after completing the corresponding course (pre-calc for Math II, AP chem for chem, etc.)

For the subject tests, it doesn’t take much studying if you’ve taken the corresponding course. For the SAT, I think about two months is pretty good.

Thank you very much. I do AP equivalent for Maths, Advanced/Further Maths,Physics and Chemistry; so do you think it is feasible to do say Maths and Physics on one day. Thank you :)

bump bump bump

You can take up to three subject tests in one sitting, so yes.

thanks bro

Surely you can do this but why? SAT II really is optional…

For most schools. But some schools (mostly the most competitive ones) require one or maybe two subject tests.

Would it be a disadvantage if I did more tests because I intend to do 5 SAT subject tests, SAT and 4 A Levels (AP equivalent).

Thanks

The only disadvantage would be if you did bad on one and you applied to a school without score choice. Otherwise the more the merrier!

5 SAT II’s?! WOW! Which ones, may I ask?

yes my friend took sat 2 sophomore year

Yes, the second of this month saw me doing 3 SAT II subject tests. I haven’t yet done SAT I.
I reckon you are doing British exams; you are familiar with the British system? I might warn you that the SATs is different to Advanced level, unlike AL you should do the SAT extremely fast and most times you won’t be able to answer all the questions. And you need tutoring for it. I suffered the last week going through all those stuff which were not covered by AS and A2, and still haven’t finished A2 in the first place.

Good luck. (You can always repeat it :D)
