Can you get a second Bachelor's Degree in Engineering after a science degree?

And can you finish this second degree in 1-2 years if you have taken most of required overlapping courses?
I'm a senior Chemistry major with a minor in math and I'm interested in getting into Chemical Engineering. Can I get admitted into a second B.S degree in ChemE and finish it up in 1-2 years?

I don’t know the answer to your question, but I’m guessing you could do that. You may also want to consider looking into a Master’s in eng. I also don’t know if **that **will work, but it’s something for you to consider. Send an email to an engineering school of interest and ask them.

I agree with the above reply.

Getting two B.S. degrees in similar disciplines is unlikely to help you in job searches, and in fact it may raise questions.

Better is to get a master’s degree in Chemical Engineering. Depending on the details of your undergraduate degree you may have most of the courses you need. You can catch up on gaps in graduate school – possibly by taking an undergraduate course or two. Pick a large public or private university. Generally to be competitive as an engineer it’s wise to have the master’s degree anyway.

Thanks for the replies, I guess I’ll consider pursuing a M.S degree!
