can you get rejected from ucm? seriously..

xleper17:
That sounds ridiculous! I don't understand why UCR and UCM would deny you. Hopefully, UCLA was your first choice!

To those arguing over UCSC vs. UCM:
UCSC offers a top notch education in space sciences, such as astrophysics. In fact, it is the only UC that has a contract with NASA. Its space science programs generally fall within the top 5 IN THE COUNTRY every year. I'm not trying to put down UCM, however, I think it is a bit immature to rank UCM on the same level as UCSC simply because you go there. I am not saying that one will definitely offer an education better than the other since I do not go to either of them.
However, to employers and most graduate schools, UCSC is seen on the same level as UCSB and UCD. The difference between them is like green apples versus red ones. UCSC is accredited. UCM is not. In time, UCM could very well surpass UCSC, however, at the moment, they are pretty far apart. The students who get rejected to UCSC are automatically accepted to UCM, so long as they are UC eligible.
