I don't know how ridiculous this question may sound, but if my TAG is approved, can I still get rejected from a UC? That is if, of course, nothing happens with my transcripts etc.
Perhaps I'm just paranoid...

If you meet all the requirements, no. And if you do get rejected either you didn’t meet all your requirements or the UC (San Diego, cough cough) made a mistake and you should call the campus to sort it out.

Has your tag been accepted at any school?

NOOO! I haven’t heard a darn thing. Have you!? I just get paranoid that I will have the TAG for UCI (my first choice. okay first realistic choice, not counting UCLA AND UCB) and then I will ultimately get rejected.

Well I dont know why I’m the only person who has received any type of confirmation, but I was told if I complete a certain 3 classes (phil 5, eng101, stats 1) then i will be granted the TAG agreement. To answer your initial question, no, you cant be rejected if your tag has been approved, as long as you follow up on your end of the deal. You can be rejected due to mistakes on the app and human error, in that case you will need to appeal, and it does happen quite often actually. Just curious, what are your transfer stats?

no way for them to decline you if you meet all the requirements. UCSD made some mistakes and declined a couple of people. But some of them called back and got their app reviewed and got back in!

SH4DOWZ: I am a women’s studies major. I have a 3.44 GPA, my math and English requirements finished, and almost all of my IGETC done. I will have 49 units that the end of this semester. I need a science class and then some more transferable classes to fulfill my last 11 units. There are no available prerequisite classes available at any community colleges.

Anywho, Thank you for all the responses. I have this horrible scene where I get a TAG, get overly excited and tell every person I encounter, and then get rejected from UCI or something (thus looking like an idiot). But now I feel calm. Woo! I hope I get approved!
