Is it Possible for TAGs to be rejected?

Hi everyone! I am waiting on my acceptance (or rejection... gah, please no) from UCSD. It's killing me! I have completed IGETC and I have a TAG, but some feeling in my gut has got me wondering if they're going to start rejecting TAG students. My GPA is really horrible (think 3.2, but more like a 3.4 after my current semester) so that doesn't help my racing thoughts. Has anybody heard anything about TAGs being rejected before? Thanks in advance, I'm freaking out! Really hope they'll be sending out another batch of acceptance/rejection letters soon...

if you finish all the requirements you wont get rejected.

All you have to do is complete a certain number of transferrable units (for my school, it’s 30) and have over a 3.0 and maintain that, and you’re good! I am signing one with UCSD, too!

^ Pretty sure you have to take certain classes depending on the major, if it’s just transferable units then everyone will do it

And bendystraw, I got accepted for Computer Science with 3.2, and I don’t remember signing TAG, also missing like 4 pre req listed on assist

what is a tag?

Transfer admission guarantee

Transfer admission GUARANTEE

If the TAG was approved and everything and you do what the TAG said you had to do by the end of Spring semester, take the classes you might need and keep your gpa a 3.0 with nothing lower than a C, then you should be fine. [:

oh, thanks, but i do not think they do that for international students:)

^
Correct! TAGs are only for California Community College students.

The only way you can be rejected by TAG (Transfer Admission Guarentee) is by not fulfilling the requirements for the contract for which ever UC you are looking to attend.

finish all the courses specified in the TAG with C and above and maintain your GPA and there is no problem. Mine got rejected for winter for UCD because i failed to take the music class which i specified in the tag…totally annoyed me but that was my own fault…I reapplied for fall…still waiting to hear from UCD but i aint holding my breath on them !

Sounds good, thanks for relieving my fears a bit everybody. I’m still nervous, and I know I shouldn’t really be, but this helped a lot. =]

Don’t worry, we all are. At least…I am. Glad it helped! [:

if you breach the contract, you might get rejected
