Can you get two AP English credits?

Contemplating not taking the AP English Lit test because I already have a 5 from English language... but my teacher is being stubborn about it. So just wanted to clarify what the policy is...

" English
* Language/Composition
5 English Freshman Free (1 c.u.)
* Literature/Composition
5 English Freshman Free (1 c.u.)
(note: The English Freshman Free does not fulfill the college writing requirement)"

From the Penn Admissions webpage. (<a href="http://www.admissionsug.upenn.edu/applying/advanced.php%5B/url%5D">http://www.admissionsug.upenn.edu/applying/advanced.php</a>)</p>

Does this mean that you get two credits for the two tests? Even though they both fulfill "English Freshman Free".. whatever that is... (Some of the other exams specifically specify, however, that you can only get credit for one test or the other, not both.)

Yes you will get both useless credits. They will just sit at the bottom of your transcript doing nothing.

Ugh, that's what I tried telling my teacher, that it's pointless... but he responded with "Of course it's not pointless!! It reflects well on your school... and your teacher..."
Yeah, for 90 bucks it will.

Don't give in.
