What is "Payments paid or withheld from earnings?"
is it like the income? or other than the income?
It's for Berkeley but i think most of the financial info are the same.

And it also asks the "principal balance of any cash, savings, and checking accounts"

"as the date you filed 2010-2011 FAFSA" !!! so i filed it on Jan. 27. 2010 first. i have other correction forms but filing date means the first time i filed it right?
But in other form, it says "the end of the year statement"

So which one is it? do i need a statement for Dec.? or for Jan. 27th?

And what is S.I.D.?

Thank you!

Yes, for FAFSA the asset values are as of the date of the first filing - unless an error was made on the initial filing, these numbers do not get changed during subsequent revisions. If there is a significant difference between your December and January statements, I would send them both. Earnings are income - by asking for payments paid/witheld from income I’m assuming they mean things like deductions for retirement plans, etc. that would not show up in your 1040 AGI. You should carefully read any instructions they sent with the form, and look on their website for clarification. If that doesn’t work, email the FA office any questions you have. Are you the student? If so, make sure you discuss this with your parents, who can likely help, and make sure you/they sign the tax forms before sending them in to the school!

Forgot…SID likely refers to the Student ID number that they assigned to you!

Thank you! so i guess i will just write 0 for the payments… if we don’t have any retirement thingyy going on. Thanks alot!
