So I've been reading that apparently you do not have to submit an SAT 1 or ACT score and you can instead submit a few SAT 2 tests and/or a few AP Test scores as well.

Is that allowed/true?

Does that mean that me, a white boy from California, could apply to say NYU Stern with 3 SAT Subject Tests (all with scores of 800s btw) and still have a good shot? Is that realistic?

There are a some schools that don’t require any tests but vast majority require an ACT or SAT. There is a very small number, NYU and Middlebury included, which allow you to submit three SAT subject tests in lieu of an SAT or ACT. NYU also allows you to instead submit three APs. Those three tests for NYU must be in specific subjects: one in literature or humanities, one in math or science , and one of your choice. Stern requires one of them to be a math. And yes you can be admitted by submitting three high subject tests and not SAT or ACT.

^See NYU’s own statement of its rule: [Standardized Tests](<a href=“Standardized Tests”>Standardized Tests) As I noted above two of those three tests must be one from literature or humanities and one from math or science and for Stern you need the math.
