if you were initiated 1st sem freshman year, and stayed in through freshman year but couldnt pay dues before by the start of soph year, and thus had to quit but now have enough money junior year, can you come back? if you didnt get along with all of the people there, maybe half, but you were initiated and just couldnt afford it after fresh year, but never talked much to any of them sophomore year, can you come back junior year if u can pay the dues?

anyone know?

Ask the fraternity. I’m sure no one on here can answer this for certain.

It’s up to the fraternity. Ask them.

When most people can’t pay dues, they usually just let the issue sit until they can. I’m surprised that you actually decided to quit just for that reason. In any case, it doesn’t hurt to ask.

Did you disaffiliate, or just stop being an active member? One is more permanent than the other.

Differs for every fraternity call the HQ.

I stopped being an active member, im not sure if they officially disaffiliated or anything because i never payed for nationals anyway. i had some incidents by the end of fresh yr with a few of them, a bunch of them i liked tho, but i thought i was already out after fresh yr since i couldnt pay and they stopped contacting me. there were many awkward moments because of that, and animosity, but i couldnt pay and didnt want any trouble. i told some of them that, but i stopped talking to them. i would have payed because i spent all fresh yr doing it and made friends there, just to lose it all.

I don’t know… I wouldn’t join the fraternity again if I were in your boat. Look at other houses and see if any other houses are pretty legit and full of chill guys. Rejoining a house with people that you got into “fights” with isn’t worth looking at in my opinion. A brotherhood is a brotherhood.
