Hey,
It would be great if people can help me out with this...

Background:
I am a junior with a gpa that is almost 3.4
I go to a prestigious high school in MA.
I am trying to apply for early decision (with legacy, as well as no financial aid) for humanities and social sciences at carnegie mellon (the easiest college to get into there).
My SAT at the end of the day will probably be a 1950.

Anyways...
I took Biology (M) last year --> 560
World History last year --> 490
Those are terrible scores, but they are also my weakest areas.
I took them because they were both the only subjects I had taken in high school as a sophomore.

I plan to take 2 or 3 subject tests in June.
These are subjects that I have taken in school, that is available for being on the subject test (My school goes AP --> Honors --> Level 1):

Literature- I do not like to read, I have enough trouble as it is with critical reading on the SAT (550)
United States History- I am in honors, and have an A-. First year of taking US History
Mathematics Level 1
Mathematics Level 2- I am in pre-calculus honors, get around a 700 on the SATs, and have an A-/A in that class for the year.
Chemistry- I am in level 1 (not even in honors), but I have had an A+ for every quarter this year (because I am good with math)
Spanish- Level 1, terrible at spanish

Since colleges dont get to see ALL my test scores, I am thinking of doing 3 subject tests.
Also, should i take math level 1 or 2? If 1 is that much easier, I can certainly get a higher score compared to 2.
If you were me, trying to get into a competitive college (not ivy, but a bit below that), which would you take?

1) math level 1, math level 2, and chemistry
2) math level 1, math level 2, and US history
3) math level 2, US history, and chemistry
4) math level 1, US history, and chemistry

also, since it will be in about less than a month, what books would you recommend for me to study (or websites)?

It is surprising that people don't talk about the SAT II, when it is supposedly very important.

Thanks
