So my school requires all seniors to take Sat on October, but I need the subject tests for early action schools. The teachers at my school want 100 percent participation for the exam, and I know one cannot take the two exams at the same time, so if I register for the subject tests first, will the college board system letting me sign up for the sat on october?

Thanks in advance, you are awesome

Bump

You should talk to your school and get special permission to be exempt from the October SAT I and just take the SAT II. I’m sure they’ll understand. I mean they have to because I don’t see how they have the right to force you guys to take the SAT I when it’s not necessary (of course if you’re a senior and you never took it before then you should take the october one), and not beneficial to your application. They’re not the ones applying to college :)

Anyways, I’m not completely sure if Collegeboard has a smart enough system that would prevent you from signing up for both subject tests and the SAT I on the same test date, but just in case they do I would register for the one you’re actually taking first.

HOWEVER, I don’t recommend registering for both, even if you’re not taking the SAT I, because you’ll be losing money (the 51 dollar fee to register). And your school wouldn’t even know you were registered for it because they won’t receive your scores, which is the only indication that you were registered for it in the first place (if you don’t take the SAT I and not fill out a score sheet with info etc for it, then the scores automatically cancel)
