Can you see me realistically transferring into Maryland after two years?

I don't know if many of you remember me, but for those who don't, let me give you my Maryland story in a nutshell. I applied last fall with a 3.8 GPA and a 1540/2400 (1060/1600) and was rejected in late January. Ever since then, I have been accepted into Northampton Community College in Bethlehem, PA. A top 50 Community College nationwide, I was accepted into their Biological Sciences program, and also into their honors program. I recently took the ACCUPLACER test, and found out that I am able to take Calculus for my first semester. While I am there, I will submerse myself in the campus social life by joining many clubs. I will challenge myself by taking the most difficult courses offered (which will be available to me since I'm in the honors program). Finally, I will maintain a 3.5+ GPA not only to impress Maryland, but also to stay in the honors program and possibly join Phi Theta Kappa if they invite me. If I attain every aforementioned goal, can you see me transferring into Maryland during the Fall 2016 semester? Also can you see me getting into Penn State-UP, UGA, UDel, Rutgers-NB, and Temple? My intended major is Economics, although I will attend college for pre-med. Thank you!

They won’t look at your SAT scores if you apply with over 30 credits. If your GPA is good (3.5+) you will be a strong candidate for acceptance.

Keep up the hard work!

Hi FutureDoc! I’m in a similar boat as you! Aside from also wanting to be a doctor I also applied to UMD as a freshman candidate for fall 2012 and was denied. After leaving my original college choice for CC here in MD I realized that I never really stopped liking UMD. All I can say is TRY to think happy thoughts and continue to envision yourself there! Hopefully things will work out for the best, for both of us! Good luck and remember: You got this! :)
