Is it possible to view your SAT scores before sending them to your high school or colleges? I know you can pay to send them to additional colleges later. My daughter did well on her first ACT test but scored extremely low on the psat. She takes the SAT in June. I'm nervous that the ACT might be the better test for her. Not sure to take the SAT or not. I'd like to see her scores first then decide to send them. Her high school prints them on the transcript. They even printed the psat! I've read colleges look at the best score but it's hard to believe if they saw a low SAT it wouldn't factor in. Thanks for any input you might have!!

She can do that by not choosing any schools at all when she takes the SAT. But, if she ends up sending any SAT scores (SAT I or II) when she applies to schools, the schools will see the previous scores too.

But seriously, while the schools see all the scores if they're submitted, they really do only note the highest ones. They don't superscore the ACT, but they'll take the highest SAT scores from each section and use that for her composite score. They don't pay attention to lower scores, and honestly, they don't have the time to sit there and care about them when they're reviewing thousands of applications. If they see a huge jump in scores from one sitting to the next, they might wonder about that and even ask you why there was such a big jump (really sick the first time, didn't study the first time but then took a course, etc.) but they simply won't penalize her for a low first SAT score.

If her ACT score is good enough for the schools she's applying to, she does not need to take the SAT I at ALL. All U.S. schools are now taking both, and they weight them 100% equally (i.e. they don't favor one over the other). She can still take SAT II tests without taking SAT I.

Has she done any practice tests at all yet for the SAT? She can practice for it without registering for it, and then decide if she's going to take it.

Don't be nervous. You'll just make her nervous, and that won't help either of you!

Yeah, you should have her take a practice test or two and see how she does. Then decide whether or not she should take the SAT I officially.

My son's HS also lists every test on the transcript but will remove everything if asked to do so. If your daughter goes to an SAT II optional school and doesn't send any college board test results, she can pick and choose her ACT scores and send only what she wants. But I agree with the above poster... most schools say they take the highest score and I think that is just what they do. Don't sweat it.
