i always forget that there are so many knowledgeable parents out there, i was the one who had to remind my parents, "hey, um, little brother's UC application is due in a week ... gonna bug him about it soon?"

an impacted major means that it has a high number of students applying to be in it. it means first the school will see if you are UCSD material then the bio department will screen you to see if you are good enough to be in teh bio major.

I live in SD, and you pretty much beat most or the college bound seniors I know. Your stats are great. I'm sure you will have no problem. I'd pack your beach clothes now. Best of luck!

Well you're pretty much in UCSD with those stats, but I don't know about the bio program since it'll be impacted next year. I'm sure you won't run into too much trouble, but there is a little doubt because nobody knows who with what stats how many people will apply for biology

I got deferred ED at Cornell, but got into U. of Michigan. I also applied to Brown and U. of Miami. I want to go into Marine Biology, so that is why UCSD is my top choice after Cornell. I am afraid being out of state though that the aid I will get will be next to nothing.
