yes. I was rejected from fisher but I got into SEAS.

does it have to be ED reject?... awesome job on SEAS admit! I heard Penn has some very nice engineering programs.

bump! bump!

i'll bump again.

I don't quite understand how one can be admitted. so you give 2 application forms?
1 to J&F and the other to penn

One applies to the specific program and signifies willingness to accept admission to The College rather than out right reject. This policy holds at many schools.......ie NYU Tisch vs NYU or Columbia Engineering v Columbia.

From the web site:
"Along with all application materials, students must also submit Form 1C, including one additional essay and indicating a single-degree choice (The Wharton School or The School of Engineering and Applied Science). If you are not admitted to the The Jerome Fisher Program in Management and Technology, we will then consider you as an applicant to the single-degree program you indicated on Form 1C."

That should answer your question definitively, n'est pas?

You can't reapply for the same admissions cycle. i.e. if you get rejected ED you can't reapply RD for the same year but a different program.
You can reapply for the following year though, that's perfectly fine.

And as others have said, if you indicate a single degree choice, you will AUTOMATICALLY be considered for admission, you don't need to take any further action yourself.

You can't apply for M&T and nominate the College as your second choice though.

then why not everyone applying to wharton apply for M&T when they still can be considered as an applicant to wharton if not admitted? Since its pretty much random at the cream of the crop level of admission, wouldn't it be more wise to apply to M&T?

and wee madam. it did answer my question (nest pas is french isnt it? and wee means yes hopefully :D)

Ummm, maybe they don't want to work to get both degrees. That's like asking why doesn't everyone apply to med school to see if they could get in.

BTW, it's monsieur.

oh. please excuse me.

thanks for all the input

what's a SEAS?
sorry, i'm new...

its an engineering school i believe.

School of Engineering Something of School

dunno what it stands for...
