Probable major: Psychology, hinging on the idea of medical school

Classes: Taking all of the AP courses offered at my school

Standardized tests: Planning to take two SAT II Subject Tests along with the ACTs before college applications are sent out. I'm also retaking the SAT again, shooting for something near 1900.

Location: New York and would prefer to stay in-state

I'm currently looking into many colleges, but at this point I've come to the realization that I truly require assistance from others. There are far too many colleges to look into, and I admire those who don't feel so overwhelmed by this entire process.

Thank you very much in advance for your time and input!

Do any of the SUNY schools interest you? They are a great option if your interests are broad and, of course, they can also be a great value.

If you are looking for a smaller college in New York with a strong Psychology program, you may want to look into Union College. Skidmore is also good but might be a little bit of a reach. I don’t know about your tuition budget but keep in mind that these schools are pricy.

Here’s hoping I don’t sound too deluded when I say this, but I think I should clarify that my GPA is 3.5/4. I saw someone on another thread take that as out of a 5.

And thank you for your input. I’ve considered a great many SUNY schools, the vast majority of them as back up schools. I’m hoping to enter a slightly more selective school than Union College should my SAT scores get that upward boost, but I’ll certainly look into it more.

Thank you again!
