Can you take GE courses in CSU as transfer student?

I'm not sure if this rule has recently been changed, but if you already have an associates degree from a community college, but do not have all the necessary general education requirements done for CSU, do you have to take them at a community college before being accepted or can you take them at the university instead?

I'm interested in attending Cal State Northridge, but their admission pages are so damn confusing and unorganized.

I would prefer to take them at the university to get used to the campus instead of going back to CC.

Appreciate any advise, thank you.

You can take the remaining ge courses at your CSU.

Are you sure? Because on the CSUN website it says “Lower division transfer student applications are not currently considered for admission”

If I remember correctly lower division basically means general education.

And upper division transfer needs to have completed the 60 units including GE elsewhere.

I guess I’ll give them a call next week to find out exactly.
