Can you transfer to a school that accepted you as an incoming freshman?

I was accepted to my dream school last year, but had to choose against it for financial reasons. Now the financial situation in our house is a lot different and, after a semester at the school I chose, I'm still convinced the other school would have been perfect for me.

Nope. You will have to apply to be a transfer. They didn’t reserve a spot for you.

That’s what I meant. I was just wondering if applying as a transfer after having already been accepted there is generally looked down upon and would serve as a disadvantage in the application process.

Drop them a line, let them know that your finances have improved, and ask if you can reactivate your application, or if you will need to make an entirely new one.
