can you use the october sat for ED?

If i take the October 4 SAT my senior year can i still use this result when I apply early decision? (the early decision deadline for the school I'm applying to is Nov. 1)

Also, if I am able to use this result would they still superscore all of the SATs that I have taken?

I'm fairly certain you can use it

Uh...I'm not trying to hijack this thread, but is it possible to take an SAT too early? I want to take it October of Junior year, and my parents seem to think it might...expire.

There's nothing wrong with that.

it won't "expire"
i've known someone who took the SAT as a freshman, got a 2350, and didn't think about it again.

This is like the 1,000,000th thread on this question. Someone needs to make a banner or something with the answer to this question written in bold, shiny letters.

Please, someone sticky this or some other thread about this. I swear I've seen it at least three times in the past week or so.

I think that you can - a bunch of my friends have to get into their schools ed, you might have to rush your scores though

Does anyone know if you can use the october act for early decision?

@ nvnc: by "rush" your scores do you mean put the code of the college down during registration? Because thats my main concern for taking the october SAT. I was hoping that I would be able to pick which scores that they would recieve and such. And I got the impression that if I "rushed" my scores that they would only see my October result and maybe wouldn't superscore my SAT results.

Don't rush them. Most schools have a secure online program/setup where they get the scores directly from CollegeBoard. Rushing will not help, in most cases. You could check out the website of the school or ask admissions about it, because some schools don't.
