canadian citizen/american high school student my chances plzz

hey

im a canadian citizen whos goin to HS in USA (9-12 grade). but im not resident so everywhere is charging me international tuition wit no financial aid (25Gs and ^ a year). ****es me off..

so im tryina apply to canada..mainly Mcgill, UTO, UBC, Uwaterloo, Queens. for Electrical engineering

My GPA is 3.5 unweighted (not includign senior). weighted should be much more since i have 5 classes each 0.5 weight.

I ve taken a truckload of IB courses but no diploma.. which i think will hurt me wit those schools..
I will have 6 certificates. 3 HL (Physics, Math, History)

Ive been taking the sat a million times and so far its 740m and around 580v
EC's include environmental club, work, honor societies, and volunteer

Please give me insight on my chances at those and other schools in canada.
as for the US, i found out i could get some (very little money) in texas schools like Austin and T A&M.. so im gonna apply there

also tell me whether or not to send the SAT scores to the canadian schools. cause some of them know im in US system and are gonna make me like Mcgill

thx everyone who took time to read and give insight. much appreciated

haha your SAT scores are kinda similar to mine...'cept my strength was verbal, not math.

Anyways without being overconfident I'd say you have a good chance at all of the schools...not saying you're definitly in, because engineering is arguably the toughest program to get into for frosh year.

good luck!

thanks for ur input. so should i submit scores to places like toronto or queens?

also some info on the US schools would also help

hey please dont let this thread die.........i have to turn in a college plan to my counselor next week...

please find engineering schools here in US that will match my situation and cost/
thx

Consider RIT and RPI

are those ranked high though?

they are decent schools but you shouldnt have a problem getting in, engineering is probably one of the toughest fields to apply to straight out of colleges. for match engineering schools, consider lehigh and umich. columbia would be a reach
