I've been browsing the forum lately, and I must say that I am very intimidated my the amount of EC's, summer programs, etc that American students seem to do. I'm thinking of applying to UPenn (Wharton) but my stats are not as amazing as some on this site. I was wondering, since I am a Canadian student, will I be given some leeway?

probably be even harder for you (but I don't know for sure).

Don't be intimidated by people on this site. They're not typical and a lot of them are undoubtedly resume padding to look better.

I've heard some Admissions people say in regards to SATs we are given some leeway, but I've heard nothing about amount of EC's, etc which is what I'm worried about.

Do not take this site as an example of Penn students (or any school, for that matter). Apply, and give it your best shot. You can't attend if you're not admitted, but you can't be admitted if you don't apply.
