[2] need blind for canadians

[1] 35 Canadians were accepted to Penn last year.

jpps1...what site did you get that info from?

He got it from Upenn.edu.

scroll to the bottom

That's actually the number of Canadians that matriculated here - NOT the number that was accepted.

There are a lot of us here - I feel like I run into fellow Canadians here all the time. They typically come from strong Canadian schools including Ashbury College, Upper Canada College, Brentwood, St. George's, and the Toronto French School.

r u serious? none from 'normal' public schools?

I'm sure there are a few - I'm just citing presonal experience that's all.

do u know any canadian transfers?

yay UCC...

And yay UTS. It's my soon-to-be alma mater. I'm looking forward to Penn so much!

It shares something in common with Penn in that nobody understands what it is when you say the name (it stands for University of Toronto Schools). A person asks where you go to school...

You say, "University of Toronto Schools."
They say, "Wow! You go to UNIVERSITY?"
"Uh....no. It's a high school, it's just kinda-affiliated with U of T."
"Ohhh....ohkay."

Like that. Damn, I was hoping to escape stuff like that after graduation. With UTS, you have to bring the other person' opinion of you back DOWN, because they probably believe for a second there that you're a genius actually going to U of T. With Penn, you have to bring their opinion of you UP by explaining that Penn's not Penn State and (if they're elitist enough for it to go in your favour) that Penn's an ivy. You have to justify yourself to them, which sucks.

Whatever. We all know, Penn rocks!

Hey, Mark,

Don't forget Appleby College heh!
