It is usually very hard to get the “hard numbers” every year for the total number of international students from each country for each class…but according to the latest information from a Canadian student at Stanford from 2010…there were 206 Canadians enrolled (175 graduate students plus 31 college students). So they average about 8 college students per class…

The year I started, there were 206 Canadians enrolled at Stanford (175 graduate students and 31 undergrads) on non-immigrant visas (F-1, J-1). Anecdotally, though, I’ve noticed many Canadians at Stanford have dual-citizenship or are permanent residents, so a reasonable estimate of Canadian citizens at Stanford might be in the order of 400 people, plus a few more if you include staff or family members on campus.

But, he notes that the numbers may actually be much higher since many Canadians hold dual-citizenships or are permanent residents of US…</p>
