Canadians! Help me find the Best Candian Universities(Engineering/Science)

I'm planning to apply to canadian schools but I'm not sure which schools are best in engineering and science.

I'm going to apply to Mcgill and Utoronto but i want make sure what kind of school they are(yes, i did not research that much about canadian colleges)

I know McGill has a strong science program, I'm not sure about UofT but it is so huge I'm sure you'll find what you are looking for.

UofT has three campuses. One is locating in Toronto and is much nicer. Toronto is a really fun city, there are so many things to do! McGill is located in Montreal, one of the most beautiful and amazing canadian cities.

There are plenty of other great Canadian universities, I recommend you go and do some research, they're a great option.

UofT is known for engineering but if you really wana shoot for the stars in that fied you HAVE to apply to Waterloo. It has the best math/eng programs in the country and grads are heavily recruited throughout the continent. Its the MIT of Canada. Its Math program is actually one of the best in North America.

waterloo's got the best program for math/computer, the campus isn't that impressive thro. and according to my research it's a bit easier to get in waterloo than T of U.

waterloo is the best and its name is also widely recognized in america.

McGill is very strong in the sciences, but Waterloo is top when it comes to engineering (and possibly computer science and applied math). The other usual suspects (UBC, UofT) are good too, depending on what precisely you are looking for. If, by any chance, you're looking for research related to aluminium or frost, then I'll suggest UQAC ;)...

I'm not trying to be rude but can Mcgill and U of T be considered as safeties??

I'm thinking of Mcgill, waterloo, and U of T, too
and I want to major in engineering(not computer though)

The University of Alberta has one of the largest and best faculties of Engineering in Canada. Plus, they have brand new engineering buildings and they are opening the National Institute for Nanotechnology.

i obviously have to see ure stats but mcgill is pretty competitive for US applicants, uoft is a bit easier but its no gimme... UofT and Queens require a MINIMUM of 1200 SAT just so they dont throw ure app through the window, McGill is 1250 i believe...if ure applying to HYP then yeah its safety

McGill is 1300 I think.

Anyways, for engineering, Waterloo and UofT are no brainers. For science, UofT and McGill are good.

if mcgill is 1300, then its prob not the absolute minimum they say it is (actually i dont even know if they say this...i do know that queens and uoft say 1200 is absolute minimum)
