Canary Center Internship at Stanford University

Did anyone apply to this program? If so, what were your stats/preferences/essays/resumes like? Did anyone hear back yet?

I think we will hear back in the week of April 15, according to the website. As for me, no fancy awards or anything, just had another internship at Stanford last summer (in the sciences, but unrelated to medicine/cancer). What did your app look like?

I’m not sure that many people know about this internship; this is the first thread I’ve seen…

@Renasani‌ - my stats are 4.0 GPA, 2370 SAT, black belt, minor awards, etc. Yours?
And who were your top 3 choices?

Rejected ):

I didn’t get a rejection or acceptance letter - anyone else have any updates?

@championing‌
Wait what did your email say? I got nothing. ANYONE accepted please say so!

I know of someone who got in - he says that his professor has provided him with a list of those accepted by school on a google document! If anyone would like to pm me, I can check your status for you.

I didn’t get any email either… I thought that the decisions were supposed to come out tomorrow?

I haven’t gotten an email yet. If anyone does get an email sometime today, please post and let us know! Thanks!

anybody find anything out?

BUMP
did anyone get anything, i didn’t get anything.
I applied with these stats:
Job Shadows at Fullerton Junior College and Cal State Fullerton (Both in chem)
2260 SAT (1540 M plus CR)
BASIC object oriented programming experience
took honors bio freshman year and took AP test- got a 5 (when only 5% got 5s)
doing same for H chem this year
took online science classes at edx
bio teacher said the letter of rec was really good
essay was about how i was told by teachers that i couldn’t pass AP bio test and i aced it

On their site it said notification begins April 15th. Like simr maybe all the accepted people get their emails first

@purified‌ but @championing‌ said he got denied??

Yeah I realized that but it’s confusing because maybe championing got the email early cause the professor finished selections or had a friend that had the list of all admitted students (newerheights)

Still haven’t gotten anything.

I emailed them about the status of applications and heres the reply:

Hello,

We will be sending notifications by the end of this week, sorry about the delay.

Thanks,
Sadaf

@‌ everythinggoes Thanks for clearing this up.

I’m going to assume at this point everything is a rejection :’(

Has anyone received an acceptance so far? :/

I think that all acceptances must have been sent out since only 12 highschoolers get a spot
