Hello,
I am applying to the UC Transfer program in the fall and was wondering how stringent the requirements are when it comes to attending multiple community colleges.
I did not do so well my first semester at a local community college, and thought I would start my community college career over again, tabula rasa, at another local community college. The schedule I took was exactly the same as the schedule taken the previous semester at the other community college, when I apply to the UC, is it okay to just leave one of the transcripts out, since the grades I want to count and the classes I took again are at a main community college? Thanks in advance College Confidential!

You really do need to turn in all of your transcripts. If you took the classes again (and if your previous grades were D or F), then the UCs won’t even count them.

One day there will be a sticky so people can follow common sense…

Yes, you need to report every college you attend. Yes, if you are caught, you are ****ed.

When you sign your application you are affirming that you have reported all of the schools you have attended. If you lie and omit a past school, you may be caught, as there is a clearinghouse for student records that registrars access. If your lie is discovered you will be asked to leave your school, and the school that discovers your lie will notify the other schools you’ve attended. If a degree has been awarded it will be rescinded. Schools take academic dishonesty very seriously.
