Cancelling scores?

Hey, I just took the AP Bio test today. I thought it was relatively hard to a lot of the practice tests that I took and I'm thinking I'm really borderline between a 2 and 3. I kind of gave up midway through free response because I thought I would cancel at that point.

Do you think I should cancel? If I don't cancel and get a 1 or 2 are there any severe reprecussions? Will it affect my college status or anything like that? Because I always wondered what the point of cancelling was besides avoiding embaressment.

You can with-hold scores for an extra charge when you send in your applications. Your guidance councelor should have given you an AP test booklet when you signed up for the tests, and it has instructions for cancelling and with-holding scores. If you don't have the packet, you can ask your GC or look on collegeboard.com.

If I were you, I would wait and see what you got on the test. The curve is so big that you might have done better than you thought. If you didn't, you can always with-hold your score.

don't send out scores right away- instead wait to see what you get and then send scores - it will cost extra but well worth it
