Better to Cancel Score or Wait and Withhold it?

So I just took my AP Chemistry exam (my school was allowed to take it late since we had a record number of snow days this year and were behind) and I'm 95% sure I failed. I'd be lucky to get a 2. I kept changing my answers on the multiple choice and felt I did poorly. The free response was worse.
Is it better to just cancel my score? Or should I just wait and see if I truly did fail? I feel like it's better to just make it seem like I never took the AP test (I'm in the AP class) than to have colleges see that I failed the AP exam. Or will colleges think I'm missing a test score and cause complications with my application? I'm a current Junior and will be applying this fall.
How bad will it be to take the AP class and not take the AP exam? Would that be worse than failing? If I don't cancel, does a horrible AP test score affect my chances?
Thanks for the help!

Have you taken other AP tests?

@DigitalKing Yes, last year I took AP World History (I got a 3) and this year I also took AP US Govt and AP Lit. I felt good about the other two exams this year, but awful about Chem.

You’ve already done the work and taken the test; why not wait and see what you score? Worst case, you don’t self-report the score. Best case, you get college credit.
It won’t hurt you to keep it, but it might hurt you to drop it.

@DigitalKing I suppose that makes sense! I’ll just wait for the score. Thanks! :)

AP Chem is notoriously hard. Last year 67% and above was a 5. Even if you do feel like you failed you might have passed.

You don’t have to report any AP exam scores to colleges. They do not matter for admission, only after you are accepted for determining credit. Leave the score.
