@thumper1 yes they work for an agency, and were allowed to work in the U.S because they took their RN exams in the U.S but failed the first time so we couldn’t get a status but they passed it the second time allowing them to work here.
Long Beach is not Orange County.
You said that your parents had $105K in income. The EFC is primarily driven by income (AGI), not assets, so it’s completely reasonable that your EFC is $17k.
Moving your assets to a bank account owned by your parents will do nothing to change your AGI. It sounds like you don’t know what AGI is or how AGI (Adjusted Gross Income) differs from assets. Also, assets of yours that are moved to someone else’s bank account are still your assets. It doesn’t matter where the money is.
@BelknapPoint ahh i understand now thank you for the clarification!!
How did you get a BOG waiver? Income limits for BOG/California College Promise top out at $63,570.00 for a family of eight and your family income is $105,000.
I honestly do not know how I qualified for bog but I have been awarded it for the past year and a half or so, still currently on bog till spring semester. @AlbionGirl
Would also like to add that I was did not have to pay for the $150 enrollment fee when I accepted admission to CSULB so that was weird…
