Cant contact TAMU to ask this, urgent.

Here is the deal, before the Christmas break, one of my letters was complete by my debate coach and he sent it. however, i just got my last 2 letters towards the end of the 2nd semester from my principal and other teacher that was writing one for me. They are both MAGNIFICENT letters.

Here is what i am asking:

1) can i send in all three letters (1 has already been sent.)

2)Can i postmark them and mail them, or does it have to be by them?

3) i applied BEFORE the scholarship deadline, would it hurt my chances if i send these LORs this late??

thanks again

The deadline to get ALL documents in is January 15th, 2009. This is a RECEIVED date, not a postmark date. Make sure they have the document submission forms with them to speed processing. Admissions will accept as many LOR's as you want to send, but they recommend not more than two (so three should be no problem). Ideally you want your teachers to send them, but if it's going to increase your chances of missing the deadline, do it yourself. These deadlines are taken directly from the TAMU admissions website. This is only an educated guess on my part, but sending in the LOA's after the scholarship deadline probably won't be a problem for consideration. The important thing was to get your application done by December 1st. A&M probably waits until after the 1/15 deadline anyway to start allotting the bulk of the scholarships because they know their total pool of applicants and their respective qualifications by then.

Ususally when a person writes a LOR for you to send they put their signature on the envelope closure so it cannot be tampered with. It's perfectly fine to send more than 2 recs.

They do recommend that you limit the letters to two; however, one or two more shouldn't be a big deal.

thanks for all the replies

to wemel: well both of them have the writer's contact info and they mentioned me varios times in the letters

ok i have everything set up, i just finished printing thew document ID sheets for the two LORs. however, should i put them in one envelope with 2 document ID sheets, or should i put them in separate envelopes with their own document id sheets?
