I've been accepted by University of Washington, and Washington State University. I plan on majoring in Management information systems(MIS), or Information systems(IS).

I'm not sure what the difference is, UW offers IS, and WSU offers MIS.

I've been to both campuses, and I live in Washington so I'm fairly familiar with both universities. I know UW's Foster Business school is probably better, but is there IS department better than WSU? I've heard some people say if you go the Computer Science route, go to UW, and if you do Information Technology, go to WSU.

Another factor is that WSU would be considerably cheaper because of scholarships they have given me. My brother has gone there, and I'd probably feel more comfortable fitting in there. I also have done Running Start(community college credits) that will transfer and allow me to maybe graduate in only 3 years.

I don't want to turn down UW if it is vastly superior in the MIS/IS program. Thoughts? Thanks.
