still on my journey of studying for the SAT I, i realized that i haven't been preparing for the sat II and i had just wasted my whole summer on one test.

what to do?

i;m a rising junior btw, and i'm thinking about these 3 sat II

Chinese
world history...is this one easy?
and physics...which i haven't even taken yet

german is a possiblity...don't know if my german is good enough
Math 1 or 2...i want to stary away from these
US history, since i;m taking the ap next year

there is so much i need to know about the sat II would i still have a chance to take them in the senior year even thou i'll probably take the sat again then....i don't think i have enought time.

my reach school is UMich:AA and would like to major in something engineering based, but i'm not a great math test taker, good at math but sucks at taking math test and especially these darn sats.

can anyone give me recommendation of other sat ii that i should take...i'm looking to some easy ones where i can take without using too much time to study for yet be able to recieve a good score on

i;m on the verge of freaking out...not yet but almost

can anyone help me...i have decided to take world history and chinese this november, so i think i need one or two more, which is one that colleges loves to see, i;m guessing math II

I don't know... Taking Math II might be a good idea especially if you're majoring in engineering, but I'm not sure. There are some other threads about easy SAT II's to take; you might want to check those out.

Well I don't know much about most of those tests, but someone I know that took the US History one said that it was MUCH harder than the AP test. And even though I got a 5 on AP US History, I struggled with it and was surprised with my score, so I'd stay away from the SAT II in US History.

Math Level 2 will certainly be required if you plan on majoring in engineering.

I disagree with Seanbow - I didn't think the SAT II US History test was much harder than the AP test. It was a little more difficult, though. I got a 5 on my AP test, and a 760 on my SAT II. I was expecting around an 800, so I was a little surprised.

I would advise against Math Level 1, since almost all schools will require Math Level 2 for engineering majors. Stay away from German, unless you are a native speaker. The foreign language tests are very, very difficult unless you are a native speaker. If you think you can get an 800 on Chinese, go for it.

I have no advice for World History or Physics.

math 2:: because you're going into engineering
chinese:: because it will be an easy 800 for you
us history:: because you're taking AP us history next year

If you're applying to engineering schools, you will need either chemistry or physics. The Physics SAT II is hard but there is a good curve so you should be able to get a high score if you're prepared.

I got an 800 on US History and a 5 on my AP. I think if your AP class was detailed enough, you should take the SAT II. The SAT II tests a lot on details and facts as opposed to the AP which has essays so its more trends and change over time oriented. World History is a really difficult SAT II. There's just too much stuff to learn, not a great curve to really do well on it.
