Canton, Cobleskill, Delhi, and Farmingdale HARD to stay in???

Hey guys, so just a quick quote from a topic I made earlier:

"A word of advice though, I have heard that the technical SUNYs are easy to get into but very hard to stay in so you might have to work harder getting the grades to transfer to Cornell than a different school."

Does anyone know whether or not it's true, and just HOW hard it would actually be in comparison to something like SUNY Buffalo? They are pretty easy to get into, but are they really that hard to stay in? I do work hard and whatnot, but I just need an honest answer you would give to your average student.

Thanks!

In a word, no. I've attended a technical SUNY, and the level of rigor was comparable to that of a community college. Obviously any such assessment is to some degree subjective, however I do feel strongly that mine is more in line with the majority.

The kids I know who went to Cobleskill (one completed associates degree; one stayed on for bachelor) had some difficulty in high school with one or more subjects. So the freshman class might contain a lot of kids who need a lot of academic support and are likely to drop out if that support isn't there.
