College sophomore in sticky situation..

so here's the deal with me..

I am currently a second semester sophomore at SUNY Buffalo and need to make some serious changes.. I've realized for sure I cannot stay here anymore if I intend to be successful in life.

My GPA is at a 2.1 and I currently have 4 R's (resigns) on my record. I NEED to get out of this school and make some major changes.

I plan to transfer next semester to another school closer to home so I can focus more, I have my share of reasons as to why I can't stay here and it really is a long winded story.

so far my list is :
CUNY Baruch
CUNY Hunter
Rutgers (Newark)

and a couple others..

anyone know the credit transfer policy from SUNY to CUNY ?
and, are my choices realistic ? can i even transfer out of buffalo ? I realize i'm downgrading if I transfer but it's something that needs to be done.

Please.. thank you for all your help.

It may be possible to transfer, but what makes you think that you'll actually do better elsewhere?

the environment here doesn't allow me to be comfortable, I've fell into depression and anxiety here at times, and I'm in need of a new environment. I need to be away from my friends, bad influences, and just everything about UB.

you really have to ask yourself what will be different at another school

your best bet might be to live at home and attend your local cc

I forgot to mention that those schools are near my home so I will be living at home.
Clearly, dorming for me has too many distractions that I can't control myself.
