Any current students or recent graduates of CAP 21 Conservatory? I have these questions:

How many do they accept?

Do students typically find apartments together?

How are they with scholarships?

Do you have time to work to pay for your food and housing?

Thanks so much!

1) Not sure how many acceptances but this year’s first year conservatory class has 25 students…17 girls and 8 boys. Don’t know how many they accepted to get that yield.

2) Yes, many students live together. CAP provides a housing referral list once you are accepted.

3) Currently, CAP provides need-based work-study scholarships. Until they are fully accredited, they cannot give merit scholarships, loans, or grants.

4) I think that with any degree, school is a full-time commitment. CAP21 is certainly a very rigorous and time consuming training program. My son has many days he is burning the midnight oil working on projects, papers, and rehearsing for class. Would he be able to fit in a part-time job? Probably, but it would be hard. He’s fortunate that he does not have to. Son says there is time to work for those who must, and the need -based work study program is a definite lane to be explored.

Hope this helps. I haven’t been on CC for awhile so sorry for the delayed response. Good luck! If you have any other questions, please let me know.
