Captain

Is being captain of a "B" team still worthy of putting down on a common application.

There's three tiers: "A", "B" and "C".

Is it worth noting if someone is the captain of the B team, or would that make the applicant seem "second best"

Can someone please answer? 100 views and not even opinions :(

My idea of sports is climbing the stairs without getting turned around the wrong way. But I’d think that being captain of a “B” team is better than not being captain of a “B” team. What would you say otherwise?

Mu other opinion is that in the future, you’d get better responses if you had a better title. Maybe the people who looked were intrigued / curious, but don’t have a clue.

You don’t necessarily have to put down B team, unless the application has a list of choices that you select (ex: the UCs tell you to select between varsity, JV, frosh soph for the sports section). If say you played lacrosse on the B team you could just write captain of the lacrosse team. It’s not lying, but I’m not sure how ethical it is.

The EC I was talking about was basically like a Quiz Bowl team. At our school we have three tiers. I’m just not really sure if being the captain of a B team is “second-best” in anyway. Any other opinions?
