I'm bringing my car to California, and since I'm a Florida resident, we only have a single license plate tag (on the rear) as opposed to California's front and rear. Would this be alright since I'm only gonna be there as a student, or do I have to register my car to the California DMV?

Thanks and FIGHT ON!

You’re fine… as long as your car is registered, and technically since you “live” in Florida, you will be fine. I live in CA and a kid at my high school bought his car in AZ (where is mom lives) and has had it for a year and a half, Arizona tag on the rear only, and has had no problems. And FYI, although it is “required”, it is a law that is often overlooked, I drive daily and see cars without front tags, and cops don’t really care about such trivial matters… plus, if you get called for it, you have a built in excuse, but I doubt they would hold it against you in the first place.
