I know its long... and filled with probably too many reaches... let me know which you think are huge reaches, reaches, matches, safeties, etc.

If you can chance other people, why can’t you chance yourself? Anyway, you seem like a strong applicant. I’d guess that you’d get into 2 or 3 of your reaches, and almost all your matches. It also depends on the essay and teacher recommendations.

Dchow08- I ask for chances because it’s always hard to look at yourself from an objective point of view. How am I supposed to know if I am being hard or easy on myself? Also, of course I can chance people… but it’s just my input–I realize this, and I think that people I chance probably realize this. I know that my idea of what my chances are or what someone elses chances are could be totally off. But when someone posts a “chance me” type thread there are usually multiple responses and it is easier to get a, (though probably not super accurate) better idea of my chances just based on the general consensus.

^^^^ I don’t know if that made any sense, ha! But I hope you have a better idea of where I’m coming from and why I would post a chance thread.

Thanks for your input by the way!

Your employments are impressive. As for your GPA, could you please add your rank or percentile, since the standards for grading in each high school are different from one another? Does your school have AP classes? How is your senior load? Sorry! But I have more questions than answers for you right now.

http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/746334-what-my-chances-these-liberal-arts-colleges-others.html

Thanks for chancing me! I’ll check out your thread in a moment, and I’ll update my stats above. ^^

COURSE LOAD:
By the time I graduate I will have taken 9 AP courses. I will have taken all of the ones my school offers other than foreign language and art, as well as 3 online that I will receive credit for through my school. I have taken the most rigorous courses that my school offers and I have taken many of my courses, (like math and science) a year ahead of my classmates. My senior year will be very difficult for my school. I will be taking 4 AP courses and finishing up 2 that I have been working on this summer.

RANKING:
At the beginning of junior year I was ranked 10th out of 300. So I’m just about at the top 3%. I believe this will go up because I took a harder schedule this year than anyone in my class and we use a weighted GPA to rank… but then again, this year I received some of the worst grades I have ever gotten, (I had a few B+s for the first time), so you never know.

Does this help?
