If a person have passion for helping people, listening to people problems, reading, and learning about different cultures and the past. What kind of career/major will fit this person?

Definitely sociology and/or social work. History, anthropology, and possibly psychology.

Sociology in undergrad, then a master of social work in grad school.

Major: sociology, anthropology, psychology.
Career: social work, therapy, non-profit work, teaching.

Majors: education, history

Careers: A couple of different ideas from those listed... how about something in the "retirement" field, such as assisted living, nursing homes, etc. It would be great to have administrators who have interests such as yours and the sensitivity to deal with people in difficult circumstances. Look at websites for these kinds of places and see what kinds of positions are open and what the requirements are for those.

Another idea is funeral director....no kidding. Think about the kind of person you would want helping you to make arrangements for a loved one. You'd want someone who'd listen and who was sensitive to your cultural practices in that situation.

ANTHROPOLOGY
with special focus on ethnography, what you basically do in ethnography is listening to people's stories.
haha, I love my major. :)
