Career options

Hi I’m new to the forums and looking for some insight that I don’t have. I’m a senior in high school and freshman at college(all in one) going through a program that let’s me do so through my local community college. I have struggled as of late in the career decisions or more specifically the college degree department. As of right now I believe I’ve narrowed it down to two options, chemical engineering or pharmacist.
Chemical Engineering

  1. Would take around 6 years to complete masters.
  2. Would be significantly cheaper than pharmacist, but with a lower paying job.
  3. Huge range of job opportunities and room for expansion.
  4. Hard, hard schooling. (5 percent graduation rate)

Pharmacist:

  1. Would take about 7 years to complete.
  2. Lots of debt with good pay.
  3. More memory based, longer schooling, possibly residency required.
  4. More job security.
  5. Flexible hours
  6. Pharmacy market is getting saturated, who knows what it’s going to look like in 7 years.

Please elaborate for those who have knowledge in these subjects. Anything is appreciated, thank you!
