Thinking about grad schools (particularly law)
So i am inclining toward Carleton.

I want to hear your opinions about Carleton :)

Also, if it is easier(?) for students from LACs to get into graduate schools,
is it harder to find jobs after just completing undergraduate education ?

My impression as a Carleton student is that Carleton has an excellent reputation with grad schools, but less so with professional schools. (viz. business, law, medical) This is not to say that the reputation is bad or sub par, just that I know a number of friends with fairly average academic careers at Carleton that have admissions to a number of excellent graduate schools, while my friends that have applied to professional school have had less of a leg up because of the Carleton name. As for Carleton vs. Wash U I have no clue. My, very honest, recommendation is to choose between the two based on something other than academics seeing as you really can't go wrong with either, I made the same decision and went with Carleton just because the campus felt right for me. The piece of advice my father once gave me and I feel is exceptionally applicable to choosing a college is "If you really can't decide, it probably doesn't matter which choose."

As for the job question after undergrad I am really not sure. For certain majors (I'm a CS major) I know that people have no problem at all finding jobs at all. Honestly, the only person I know of that has had a problem finding a job undergrad was a Geology major who was looking for a job close to his girlfriend in Northfield.

Anyway, I hope you come by Carleton for a visit before you decide there are definitely great things going on here.
