believe me, you'll be fine. my sister is going to a "stupid" school and since she's going to be a lawyer, she'll probably make more money than me.
and at least you haven't been working your a s s off for the past four years just for these schools only to be shot down from most of them.

If you got on priority waitlist, you will probably be offered admission. However, be advised. there are no merit aid offers for waitlist students. They won't even match any comparable scholarship offers.

Hey, my name is Charles...I got in RD to MCS (number 1 choice) and CIT (Number 2 choice). I don't know if I should go though considering I also got into Cornell Engineering and Johns Hopkins as well. What should I do?

Charles, what do you want to major in?

also, (a little off topic) does anyone know where the huge list of all the courses offered is? I found it months ago, adn I can't find it again. (note: I saw the website where they show current offerings, but that doesn't have everything) It is a PDF, and it is organized by school. Am I out of my mind, or is it hiding somewhere?

This is what you're looking for, I think, idamayer, Also remember that some departments (particularly CS) have several special topics courses offered every semester that are not in the course catalog, and that sometimes things in the course catalog don't actually exist, aren't offered the listed semesters, or have different prerequisites than what is listed.

Charles

Can you visit, or have you already? All 3 are top schools especially for engineering. There's no clear winner, on paper, among this group.

Responding because my S spent an overnight for accepted CMU students early April of his senior year. A few days later, same week, he did the same at Johns Hopkins. Picked CMU, no contest for him, but everyone's different.

WHY DO YOU THINK YOU WERE waitlisted: I chuckled when I opened up my letter and it read: "What does a waitlist mean?". I thought I would get into CMU for sure, but w/e. I found it kind of comical that I got into Cornell, and UPenn but somehow managed to get waitlisted at CMU. Plus I didnt schedule an interview, and spent 10 minutes on my essays. Not too disappointed. WOuldnt have attended anyways.

Charles-
My understanding is that Johns Hopkins is more stressful because there a bunch more pre-meds than at CMU. How do you feel about rural vs. urbanish campuses?

for those who got waitlist, pls copy and paste the letter to see the details different between priority and normal waitlist letter.
thanks,

KrazyKow: you rock, that is what I was looking for

Charles: I agree that you should go visit. At this point it is more or less all about fit. You may also want to go talk to prof.s and see which curriculum you like best.
