Guys, do we know it’ll be at midnight? For sure?

Because someone said 8pm before, but I just checked and it wasnt up.

They probably meant 8pm pacific, so 11pm EST. I am pretty sure it will be exactly at 12am EST so everyone take a chill pill, watch a movie, check what happened, and deal with it. :)

Four hours!

Good luck to all of you! I’m applying RD and now I’m scared already lol omg

Yes midnight. I remember doing the same thing, doubting it will be up since it wasn’t yet, then it turned 12AM and I was like “lol nothings gonna happen” then I refresh the page for the lols and the only thing different was that the empty box said “Admit”. :)

And then you can download the letter and read it and cry

Yes, but we’re still wondering - cry from happiness or misery?

Cry from tiredness cause tomorrow is Monday

Yeah, probably.

everyone who calls the admissions office says that it will be posted online on the 16th, but everyone else says it will be midnight today…

I thought there was someone who called the admissions office who said it was the 15th. And also there was that facebook post where they said we would find out on the 15th.

well midnight is technically the 15th lmao

Applying for SCS. Only a 2030 SAT haha (1410 composite however. Not a big fan of SAT writing)

Although unlikely, I have a plethora of EC worth noting including winning second place at a National Science Fair my freshman year, attending the White House Science Fair for a telepresence robot I designed and then tested with the elderly, being on an FRC team for 4 years, being published by Intel, creating a robotic nurse, etc. I guess I just never felt like it was worth spending my time studying for the SAT as its really supposed to test aptitude… I much rather spend my time working on expanding my real world skills. In retrospect, im not sure that was the correct path. But too late now!

I did an on campus interview which I think went pretty well, and my why carnegie essay was extremely good…

If my sat was 200 points higher I think the decision would be much more obvious. It’s hard to tell how much that’s going to hurt me. I’m taking both AP Physics courses right now in addition to AP Calculus AB.

Quite stressful. Looking forward to 12.

Welcome BenX97!

Sounds like your ECs are great, so they should be able to make up for some of that SAT score. With SCS, though, no one is certain about getting in. It’s crazy hard to get in.

don’t worry about academics.

Well crap. That does not make me feel more confident. Is that from CMU?

that was taken by one of my friends last year who goes to CMU

Well actually, if 82/377 valedictorians were admitted, that raises my chances of getting in from 5% to 22%, so that’s actually slightly better.

Well that last picture makes me feel more confident!
